Nestled in the BC Rocky Mountains, this steeply sloped site posed a challenge as it called for the capturing of views and light from the south west. Built to suit a very active family and at the same time having limited utilizable outdoor space, the exercise area and decks became focal points from which other spaces were oriented.
The north easten side of the home became the point of access, with a garage being at the highest (road) level. The adjacent exercise room provides a view of Lake Windermere below. The family's main living areas are situated on the middle level and each area has direct access to the deck which wraps around the lake-side home.
