Private Residence
Invermere, BC
The site for this project is peppered with mature shoreline fir and cedar trees, offering ample shade and natural beauty. Intent on preserving these elements, we worked around a central axis point that allowed for view corridors along the trees to be established. The axis point fans out at 22.5 degree radials, carving out central spaces that were further defined into public and private pockets. Through discipline and commitment in the design process, we were able to create a harmonious plan that is simultaneously spacious and intimate, while taking full advantage of the axis point both horizontally and vertically.
