WHAT WE DO
From nature to city - and everywhere in between
site lines architecture was founded in 1999 with mountain architecture as its starting point. With projects set in the beautiful rolling landscape of Invermere and Panorama, principal architect Gord Klassen built his design firm from the ground up.
Nature is the foundation of everything we do at site lines architecture. Although our firm has grown to accept a wide variety of projects over the years, our inspiration will always have roots in the beauty of British Columbia.
As our story has grown, so have the projects our firm has experience in. site lines architecture has extensive expertise to help build your story and give a story to your building. Being a collaborative studio, clients receive a hands-on approach to architecture, sharing ideas and building concepts together with our team.
Gord recalls his story into architecture:
“I believe wanting to be an architect was a part of me since I was young. I liked to draw plans for things I wanted to build as a child. Beginning my work life as a carpenter, I had a keen interest in house plans we were given to build. More than just understanding how to construct, I always wanted to know “why?”; however, I didn’t believe I had the patience to attend school to become an architect. Traveling around the world when I was first married and seeing the buildings and structures we visited, inspired me in a profound but undefined way at the time. This aided in creating a restlessness inside me upon returning home. I desired something more challenging to enhance my building experience. This began my story in architecture”
